That makes sense actually as it would reduce your number of page impressions, increasing your click-through rate. Just make sure you place it in a really good area.
yeah that's true because adsense serve the highest paying ads to the first block. if you have 3 blocks and your third blocks gets the max click, you make less money coz the ECPM for third block is low.
It is supposed to based on the notion that you will be showing only the highest paying ads. It could reduce CTR though. You need to strike a balance.
The problem is that quite a few people using Adsense doesn't know how they rank the results and therefore suffer straight away by having about 3 times or more less earnings than what they would have if they new how it works. Google ranks listing by the highest bidded price first. So the main ad block that you think you should get the most clicks from should be the first listed in your websites source code followed by the next and so on. If you want sometimes you can earn more by just having one adsense ad than what you would with 3 and this will also make your site look more professional as it will be less cluttered with ads that wouldn't earn you more anyway.
i think i having this problem From start i have 4 ADs, get 4k impression per day with 40 click = 5 USd now, 4 ADs, 7 K impression , 40 click = 3 USD is it i should reduce the 4 Ads to 2 Ads? and my revenue will increase back? thanks
Yes probably. But first make sur the first ad in your code has the highest CTR (use channels to find out). The second won't be as important and will only give decent extra revenue. With your 4 ads, you are getting almost nothing from let's say two of your blocks. I know it is quite confusing but expriments will tell you the best combination.
if reducing ads would give higher earning per click... Would reducing Ads through out website increase the earning per click on good performing CTR ads? So, if you have pages with low CTR, you'll could remove Ads from not good performing pages in order to increase earnings per click on other pages where CTR is good...obviously, if there are high biders for given relevant keyword/phrase
Many of my webpages have a small single block of Adsense ads immediately below the keywords-rich headings because I want them to look neat.
I used to have 3 ads on one page, the main forum page. So I cut that down to 1, and my earnings increased quite a bit. Now, about 2 weeks later, it seems to go back to the normal as it was before (low CTR, low earnings). I guess it would increase initially, and then fall back to "normal" level of earnings eventually. Or maybe this is just me... :/
I honestly think it has nothing to do with time, so it is probably just you and the advertising market of course.
