I know there is a lot of talks here about new "look and feel" of DP, but wanted to give my 2 cents and hear other voices to.

From "tech" side of view new DP layout with a lot of ajax is faster, easier to use, after first few hours become really easy to adopt and even my older cell phone renders new dp better than old version.

On the other side of view, let say "functionality" I am still not sure what to think. Some new rules and organization are OK, but not sure are we were to long on "old" DP so still can't accept advantages of new organization, or old was simply better?
What I mostly talking about is iTrade. That is the only thing that realy miss me...

What is important, I am one of those people who usually in all transactions forgot to give iTrader and don't ask for iTrader, and mnny people are same, so all my iTrades were from people who after transaction tell me "hey we forgot to exchange iTrades" and I say "ops, will done in minute, thanks for reminding" :) And that was about 10% off all transaction, and if someone asked me 2 months ago how important iTrade on DP is, I would say "nice but not essential",but...

After "removing" iTrade from system, I found many problems.

Point is that NOW i see how iTrade was important. For example, in past, I need something to buy in $10 or $1.000 price range (service, script, design, logo, anything), I post thread, waiting for offers, few offers that I like, I use iTrade to check them.

When I "cut" my choice thanks to iTrader to 1 single offer, I check again iTrade of people who gave iTrade to person I want to deal with. In case everything is OK, no repeated "faces", all have nice iTrades, for me it was "green light" for making business with specified person. Dealing on that way, never been scammed and make a lot of friends and business partners there...

Now, when we don't have iTrade I am trying to make some "system" for evaluating members who are intrested to work with, but still didn't find anything that is so "precise" like iTrader was.

So, I would like just to hear from you, how you evaluating your potential partner now when we don't have iTrader anymore?

Old iTrader ratings show on users "Marketplace" tab on their profile.

Yes I know that, thanks for info. I just want to hear what other says about specifically problem that I talked about here (estimating potential person to deal with, without iTrader) In this moment it is useful to tale a look at older iTrades because those info are still fresh. But how useful "old iTrader" would be in 1 or 2 years?

It won't be useful at all in a couple years... but since people have been accruing Instant Pay feedback/rating for the last few years already (Instant Pay is the replacement for iTrader), I'm not really sure how valid iTrader ratings are even today.

For example check the Marketplace tab for a few users:

    https://forums.digitalpoint.com/members/arijitkroul.343635/
    https://forums.digitalpoint.com/members/5starpix.85195/

You can see this guy only pays 31.3% of the time:
    https://forums.digitalpoint.com/members/nitrogen77.175123/

You can see this guy usually pays, but still doesn't pay a lot... he pays late sometimes and ends up getting refunds sometimes:
    https://forums.digitalpoint.com/members/kevinrb.443547/

    etc...

The new system actually gives a lot more info and is actually REAL info (since we know a transaction ACTUALLY took place).

Is it there, please, some guide how Instant Pay system works for newbies? But for real not-english, dumb, slow-minded newbies like me :p I wish to use it.

Ok digitalpoint, this make sense, thanks for this info.
But tell me is there any way to see "transactions" that specified member done with Instant Pay, I am trying but can see just rating as Buyer and as Seller, no details about what transactions member done (like thread related to iTrade in old system)

If you are selling something, link your PayPal account here: https://forums.digitalpoint.com/account/third-party-accounts

And then just enable "Instant Pay" when creating your sale thread.

If you are buying something, you don't need to link your PayPal account, just pay for something that the seller has setup for Instant Pay.

It depends if the buyer/seller choose to exchange feedback. For example on this profile, you can see a few feedbacks left that shows details about the transaction: https://forums.digitalpoint.com/members/arijitkroul.343635/ Links to the sale threads, the dollar amount that change hands, etc.

You can always see a *total* regardless if they exchanged feedback. For example you can see that this guy has paid $1,075 as a buyer: https://forums.digitalpoint.com/members/kevinrb.443547/

I think the biggest problem with people complaining about loss of iTrader, is that they aren't taking the time to realize that there is a MUCH better system that replaces it. One that we actually know a transaction took place, and their rating is automatically lowered when they don't pay.
