On the top content report, what does it mean when we get /outbound/article/our own website URL?

Our website URL takes the visitor to our home page, so why on the report it has the words “/outbound/article/” in front of our own website page? Should it be only in front of other website’s URLs that we post on our website?

Have you set up any virtual page views to track outbound link clicks?

If Top content report showing outbound/article/our own website url. it means that to be likely that you are tracking outbound(external) link through ga for how many visitors clicked on that url. i dont think so you need to track your own home page url through outbound link script. i m giving you one example

if you had published guest article on your blog, in links of guest article you can use outbound script for tracking purpose.
