You should do following activities for on site optimization
1. Keyword Research.
2. Title Optimization with Keywords.
3. Meta Descriptions and Meta Keyword Optimizations.
4. Use h1 tag with first keyword of your website.
5. Use h2 tag for other keyword of your website.
6. Put Alt tag for all the images.
7. Page name should be keyword.
8. All JS and CSS file should be external.
9. Link all the pages with each other.
10. Create a Sitemap in html and xml both.
11. Validate your site on validator.w3.org.
