    hi there

still a bit new to this SEO business so please be gentle if my question is stupid..

My site has just got its first PR rank, but weirdly only on some of the pages. The homepage- where I have directed every back link I have set up, has a 0 PR rank. The links page has a PR of 3 and various pages throughout the site also have PR of 3- but many more have 0.

    Is this usual?

    cheers

    chris

Don't know the answer to the one.
But I've seen something similar. During the last update one site went PR 1 -> 2 for the homepage whilst most internal pages went 1 -> 5.

2 x PR4 site linked to your links page. This is funny because they are making sure G finds the receipical links.

    That's hilarious! Sorry.

Tell the next link exchange partner to link your index page or else...lol ;)

By the way they are not all showing on G.

    Link:yoursite.com/ is not working well.

I am sorry; I misread your lead thread. Must be tired. I thought that your links page was a PR3 and everything else was a PR0.

See a little trick that bad link partners will use is to,

    1) Set up a links page and invite you to reciprocate links to index pages.

    2) Then they will set up a no=follow tag so that those links are not credited.

    3) They will then use a deep, 3rd level page with a medium PR to link to your links page. This will boost your link page value, thus improving their index page PR.

How do I know this? Along time ago when I was a bad, bad, Boy I would pull this stunt. I do not do that anymore. ;)
