Do you have any comments or concerns with using an absolute link to
internal pages on a website, as opposed to relative links? I been digging around a bit, and this seems to be popping up.

A couple people are saying that using an absolute link (h ttp://www.mysite.com/aboutme.php) on an internal site link is "better" for SEO. I've always been of the school as a programmer to use relative links internally and absolute links when linking to an external site.

Can you give examples of the schemes you use.

In terms of SEO, I don't think it makes any difference. As long as you are consistent in what you use.

In terms of coding, I agree that relative links are better. Like you said, you've always been of the school as a programmer and you must know that relative linking is the way to do it. Just like tables are for data and css for the style. You can reach kind of similar goals with different methods, but that is not how it is supposed to be or how it was developed.

And in those cases, I believe that using the correct coding will be better for your site, SEO-wise or not.
