    to google, many many people concern backlink. but for less competitive keyword, on page optimization enough, you can save link resource for competitive keyword.

    so what is good on page optimization?

    i list first.
    keyword contained in
    1. title
    2. h1 ( more h1 contribute more to serp?)
    3. <b>
    4.old domain
    5.keyword density
    6.outound link

    which one is more important? i OFTEN found a page without backlinks rank better than with some(even quality links). pay attention to on page optimization.

    Yes i would agree good content with a strong focus on the primary keywords definitely helps with positioning. As for importance, I think a combination of all On-Page factors make the difference. Here's a few more SEO Techniques

    I currently use the follow in this order...

    <title>Dallas Internet Marketing...</title>
    <meta name="description" content="Dallas Internet Marketing...">
    <H1>
    <H2>
    First Line

    Other areas to consider:

    HTML Validation:
    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">

    Character Set Used:
    <meta HTTP-EQUIV="content-type" CONTENT="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">

    Also, all inbound links should have the <title> text in it.

    Make sure you use the HTML elements as they were meant to be used. I cannot stress this enough. Just because H1 has a higher weight than H2 does not mean that you should use more than one per page. H1 is meant to be used as the page title, so use it as such!

    Besides, do you want to take a chance that your page will be unreadable to screen reader users (and thus harder to uderstand by search engines when they check for contextual relationships and relevance) or do you want to write a well structured Web page that will be easy for everyone to understand?

    First thing you have to do in onpage optimization is content and title then only you should look after these <B>,<H> tags

    Oh my "SEO consultants" !!!

    Unique content doesn't mean anything to google and other spiders!!!
    For your users and linking to your pages unique & quality content is everything...

    Spiders are not humans and they can't know what is good text and what is bad text, so don't say unique content is important for SEO... please.

    Search engine spider bots CAN detect duplicate content. And this is what is intend with "Unique content", expressing your own thoughts and not just copy paste. Saying what you did leads people to "Duplicate content will not hurt your seo" which is wrong, it will and for good.

    @Trapped

    I didn't said they can't detect duplicate content!!!
    Duplicate content is bad for everything but quality content for humans and spiders is 2 different things.
    For example content for SEO can be absolutely analogical to humans, but for SEO that content is amazing...

    I can show you many examples for this!
