Anyone who can tell you the "all the basic and advanced techniques" will probably also charge you for it. Start with a google search on the term, read around, and post specific questions.
The most important on-page optimization is the title tag. Put the most important keywords there and limit the number of keywords. Absolutely avoid using words like "Home", "Welcome", etc. Do a good keyword research at: https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal You will be surprised how powerful the title tag is. If you want to learn more without hiring a pro, read the book "Search Engine Optimization for Dummies" second edition. It covers pretty much all the basics.
