"AdSense for search results pages may show only a single ad link unit in addition to the ads Google serves with the search results. No other ads may be displayed on your search results page."

According to this point, can I place ad units in the search results pages?

Can you even modify the AdSense for Search search results page? I wasn't aware you could because the results are shown on Google's own site.

I think that it is about the results presenting your sites by your own search engine (of your site).

It is not to change the search result or arrangement from google, but to show the searhc result, you have your own page to accommodate it as what google teach us how to do that. In that page, you can still add some ads (link text link, or ad units) from google in addition to the search results. But accordign to their policy it seems that only one text link ad can stay with the search results. Am I right?
