Provided the site has good quality content, and a unit on top top of every page, with a few units throughout the high traffic pages of the site. How much should a site with that, and around 400,000 uniques per month expect to earn?
There are lots of factors involved but based on a 3% click through and an average of .10c per click you could earn $1,200 per month
If you factor in that each visitor views 2 pages, the number of page views will be 800 K. So with the above ECPM, you should make $ 2400.
How about the "Get Paid To" niche? Not a site that pays to do offers or click ads or anything, just a site in that niche.

The "Get Paid To" niche is no longer a niche really. It's a saturated market. You'd be better of looking at written informational content on subjects other than the usual "get paid to...", "work at home doing..." or "make $1000's...".
Based on my sites, in prior months that number of uniques would have been good for around $1300, but for December its running at a pace that would produce only around $900. Thankfully Google isn't the majority of my network income and some of the other networks are up. My advice once again is to diversify. Don't rely on one network for your ad income.
With about 285,000 uniques and 1,900,000 page views a month I make about $600 with a Adsense Link Unit. I'm sure I could improve that though, just not sure how to go about it.
Most of my traffic goes to my main site, not the forum.. I only had one unit on the top of the page until last night. So far I have made $6.84 on adsense today. Usually I wouldn't expect to have that until around 10:30PM, its only 3:00PM. My cPM for the channel my site is in is $0.44 (my digitalpoint channel is over $7.00 cpm LoL)
