Man, I've been working on this forum for 2 days all day. An my usercp wasn't working so I contacted them and went through this and that.

Now after my forum is completely finished they say the usercp file didn't upload and I need to re upload all files overwriting the other files.

Does this mean I have to build my forum all over again?

you can backup your database first then reupload the files then restore the database using phpmyadmin or bigdump

Backup the database before you do anything.

Dont worry about it. I had something like this happen to one of my forums. I uploaded all of the files, starting setting the forum up and started getting error messages. So I just uploaded all the files again, overwrote everything and the errors stopped.

When you update your forum to the next version, your going to overwrite hundreds of files anyway. So its nothing to worry about.

Just uploading the vb files will not wipe your forum contents. But if you have made any modification in your template or other files then you will need to do it again. But I suggest you to take backup of your database before you upload all vb files again.

Re-uploading your files will not affect your site in any way unless you have modified the core files.

If you have customized your templates, those customizations will remain intact -- no data will be lost.

It shouldn't wipe anything. But just in case make a backup of your database so that just in case something does happen. You won't be screwed.
