like ive had mmy site for 2 weeks.... ive been averaging .10-.20 a click but for the last few days ive been getting .05!!! i mean come one!... lol... and the last two days i have gotten a LOT more clicks than before and am making less... is there a way i can change my ads to a particular subject?... thnx
Btw to clarify, section targeting can only be used to make the ads show relevant ads to your website subject - not to try and get unrelated ads that have a high payout. Just thought you should know as it sounds like you havent heard of section targeting before...
Same with me my per click rev has dropped substantially, I doubled my traffic but revenue was halfed, it is crazy, adsense is starting to suck...
Could be smart pricing? *edit* Just viewed your site and personally I think it is smart pricing. MySpace layout sites dont provide good quality traffic to advertisers in my opinion (saying that I have one myself )
Google adjust your earnings per click if you dont provide quality traffic, i.e. a less than nominal conversion rate experienced by the advertiser.
Don't forget that advertisers who buy advertising via adwords do so to increase visits to their site (which they hope will result in more sales of the product/service). If those clicks aren't translating into increased revenue, as an advertisor, I would pull/dramatically decrease my money. Hence the introduction of smartpricing to appease the advertisers. Makes perfect business sense.
$30+ from a site isnt bad at all. Considering the fact MySpace layout sites take no time or effort to set up I think I'd be satisfied with that. How are you marketing your site btw? MySpace account with thousands of friends? I sort of gave up on my MySpace site... Oh yeah. You should consider either taking section targeting off or increase relevant content coz right now, section targeting is doing jack all. The 3 ads showing (I refreshed a few times) are "Collaborate Music Online", "Free HTML and XML Tools" and "Free HTML Design Template". Im not sure if a MySpace user would be interested in those... In case you dont know - section targeting can decrease the relevancy of the ads if not used right. Read my blog (link above and below) about section targeting if you can be bothered
Do you mean you have 16k and a 8k account? Wow thats a lot! I only have 1.5k... maybe thats where Im going wrong
