After seven attempts to join I have finally been accepted into the YPN! I am pretty excited about it. I have heard that it blows Adsense away. Is that true? Please, any hints or tricks that you may know to make the best out of my YPN account, please let me know. Thanks!!

It did blow adsense away. But that was a year 1/2 ago. It isnt really that great for me anymore. Depends on your niche though.

Congratulations, I've never tried. I bet they are better than Adsense though, so good luck :)

    Yahoo better than Google? NEVER!

Ehh, idk. I've never been successful with adsense anyway. The reality is that nobody is actually going to click the stupid links. :p Who knows, maybe Yahoo will work better for me.

    Anyway - grats man.

I was accepted into their network right when they started the Beta, but I'm from Canada and they needed US tax info that I didn't have. So unfortunately I didn't get to ride the gravy train. It seems tho over that time it went from amazing earnings to people running at the door to get out of it.

I was accepted into YPN Beta but I have yet to put any of their ads up. I have Google adsense on my site, though. Has anyone placed yahoo and adsense on the same website? Did one have any impact on the other?

No, that is against both TOS's. You'd get kicked out of both programs. Sorry, you said "same website". I was thinking "same page".

Now I hear conflicting views. Some say it is a great alternative to adsense and others are saying that it sucks. I guess only time will tell. Thanks everyone!!

    Congrats.

I still like YPN a lot. If you have the right niche, you can still do very well with YPN.

My advice: only place ads on sites with strong, unique content; use adsense on sites with relatively weak content.

My experience with YPN was great... until about six months ago. I went from mid-$xx a day to low $x a day almost overnight. I ended up switching everything back to Adsense. I dip my toe in YPN every now and then but it always ends up costing me money. I was hoping to cash in this holiday season with them too, like last year. :(
