    Well keywords are for we webmasters ...

    Google ranks or doesn't, does it really matter now ? ;) ..

    They get traffic no matter what and if you are planning to search, you are already in the "Google" .. Just like being in "Matrix" .. doesn't really matter, it's just there, here, everywhere :)

    Why is this "their own keyword"?

    Nobody owns keywords, unless they're trademarked, etc. I don't even think the search term 'search' is that important. Who searches a search engine for the word 'search'???

    I seriously doubt if Google pay any attention to SEO for promoting any of their sites - even down to the likes of Orkut, etc. Their only SEO interest will be in stopping people from abusing their SERPs.
