Nope. No $$$. I spoke to them on the phone yesterday and they finally admitted that they were having financial trouble and had no idea when they might be able to pay us. Steer clear of these guys until they get their act together. We'll be taking legal action as soon as we get far enough past our NET-120 pay window...unless they somehow pay first.
They admitted they're having financial problems?? That's a first. At least they are honest, too bad they told you too late to regain your trust.
Sharenator got in contact with the chairman of the board, and if you guys want to form a pack and show him what is going on, I think it will send a stonger signal than all individual ones. My email is admin at sharernator dot com
Nope. Not here either. I'm going to call and hound them again on Monday. I really don't want to go through a nasty lawsuit but it's quickly getting to that point.
Quick update: I spoke with someone at Ology today and later received an email indicating that they've had some accounting nightmares they've been dealing with but they will be wiring over a partial payment within the next few hours. The rest should be forthcoming shortly. Hopefully, this is the end of this saga.
Another quick update. I received a wire transfer from Ology today. Good to see they're trying to keep up their end of things.
sounds like a place to steer clear from. If they can't pay on time, whats the point in doing business with them. Cash out and run
I just submitted Ology Media Inc. to the Better Business Bureau. They owe me thousands of $$ going back over a year at this point. I'm up for joining in on any letter(s) to the Board of Directors if anyone's up for it. I keep being told I'll know about payment, then I get no word. They don't care, and it's time they start to get the law knocking on their door so they know it's serious.
I just spoke with the folks over at Ology again. All I can tell you is that they are trying. They've had a terrible couple of months with this accounting mishap, but they are trying to make good on what they owe to their publishers. They sent a partial payment to us a couple of weeks ago and the rest will hopefully be forthcoming soon. Just trying to make the best of a bad situation here, I know, but I'm hopeful that this will all get resolved.
It may appear they are trying, but their lack of communication is atrocious. I keep getting told they will get back to me with payment details, then nothing. They need to COMMUNICATE to the people who got THEM money -- yes, by us displaying their ads on our sites, they got half of the gross earnings. What did we get? Nothing. Not even some sort of initiated communication back, always forcing us to email and harass them. Not acceptable.
I sent a lengthy, professional letter to Vivian Moran (vivian@ologycorp.com) with my concerns a courses of action, both past and future, of trying to get paid. An hour later Renee emailed me saying my balance from up to 120 days ago will be paid today. Might be what you need to do to get anywhere.
Sorry for moving this topic to the top after a month of no thread activity, but this topic is the sole reason why I signed up for this forum... Has anyone else had any luck at getting payment from Ology? They owe my company over $25k and we have not been paid a dime since we signed up. We keep getting the run around and every time we talk with them there's a different date when we can expect payment. Most recently (2 weeks ago), they informed us that they had gotten rid of their accounting department and hired an outside company to takeover. They also instructed us to e-mail them an invoice of what they owed us so that they can start with payment proceedings... but like I said, that was two weeks ago. Not once have they ever contacted us to let us know what was going on, we have ALWAYS been the ones to initiate contact. I never received a response from them after sending them the requested invoice, which leads me to believe that it was just another excuse/tactic to delay payment of funds owed.... This is 8months worth of revenue, which could have gone a LONG way in helping out the personal finances for myself and my business partner, as well as allow us to invest in some ideas that we've been working on for the business over the last few months. Instead, our plans have been put on hold and most months we can't even afford to pay ourselves out even $2k for our salary after expenses. $2k a month is pitiful enough to have to survive on, not to mention that we have put in so much work over the last year and a half to build and expand our brand only to be paid at our 2010 levels due to non-payment from Ology.....
They made a partial payment to us. We were owed about $9,000. I believe they paid us around $4,000 of it about two months ago. Getting the rest has been a challenge. I've been talking to 4 different people over there and they all left the company, one after another. I'm on to my fifth person now who assures me that they've made drastic changes in accounting and that payments are coming, etc. They asked us to send an invoice as well, which we sent over about two weeks ago. Still nothing. Get this, around three weeks ago they tried to get me to sign some sort of "good faith" agreement saying that I wouldn't bash them online. I advised them that, if they want to keep their publishers from saying bad things about them, they might try actually paying people on time. Needless to say, we didn't sign it. The person I'm talking to now assures me that payments are coming "next week." Of course, they've been saying that for over a month now. We'll see.
They owe us around $15,000. They did a couple of partial payments in the beginning of the year, but no payments for a couple of months now. We did send them an invoice two weeks ago as requested. No response, no nothing. We've tried following up with them a few times since then - again, no response. I called their office Friday morning, a girl on the phone promised to get someone to respond to our emails. Still nothing. Looks like all of the inquires are being sent to the black hole. With this lack of communication we can only speculate. I think it will safe to label them as fraud soon. They did try to get us sign the same "shut up or we will sue you" document, prohibiting us from posting about Ology online. Beth Haggerty even went as far as telling me they won't pay us unless we sign. I understand her limited position, but the complete lack of respect is overwhelming.
They don't seem to understand that, once we've earned revenue for them, it's really not up to them whether they WANT to pay us or not. They can't really say, "maybe if you sign this, we'll pay you." They are legally obligated to pay us. I've been about "this close" to getting my attorney on them for about two months now, but I keep resisting because their CPMs are so attractive...I'd really like for them to be legit and to keep working with them. If this doesn't get resolved soon, though, I guess we'll just have to sue. In our case, we can just take them to small claims. In NY, the limit is $5K and that's just about what they owe us. I know at least two other publishers who have done so and been successful, so it shouldn't be any big deal. I really don't want it to come to that, though.
It looks like they are at least hundreds of thousands in debt, they haven't been able to catch up with the debt since last year. They lied to their publishers so many times. They don't respond to / completely ignore accounting inquiries. Ology is a very dishonest, disrespectful and, probably, a fraudulent company, the faith of which is uncertain. Are you seriously still sending them traffic?
