Certainly. both sides will put in all their resources, conventional and unconventional, to win the war. But in past wars, be it 1948, 1956, 1967, or 1982 the Arabs were too weak.

The only real challenge israel has ever faced was in 1973 Yom Kippur War. But Syrians made some drastic mistakes in the Golan Heights, and the US forces sent in massive amounts of weapons and money to israel at the right time, maybe even secretly participated in air raids, that helped israel to turn the tide of war.

Another encounter like the 1973 war, and the israeli economy would fall down like a pack of cards... War cannot be won by military force alone. You need money. Money is the driving force, the lubricant, that helps war to progress, and to be won. Military forces cannot be maintained at optimal levels without enough money.

That s*cks. If israel has strongest army or iran has strongest army, it doesnt mean . This war is meaningless for the rest of the world, except israel. the one who can start or stop the war is israel. Plus if USA gov will not support israel agression there will not be any war. I hope there will not be any war, but if there will be war, it is a war crime, war agression against Iran. US and israel will be responsible for this war

If this war will be between USA, israel vs Iran then what we will get with war Iran :

    Refugees
Millions of death ppl ( majority of them brown and muslims)
    Destroyed homes
Orphanes ( who will hate USA and israel)
High prices ( oil prices too)
Economy of region will have big problems

But I am not sure it will be war between US, israal vs Iran. Maybe Syria, Lebanon, and Russia can join the war. This war will be the longest one , if there will not be used any nuclear weapons by US or israel.

USA has to stop supporting war agression of israel.

No, no one would help Iran. No one would take that risk. Once attacked, Iran would be on its own. You cannot fight a SuperPower who has seemingly infinite resources, tech and tactics to wage wars around the globe.

Iran will feel tremendous pain in case of war. But Iran can also make it more painful, by closing down the Strait of Hormuz, for a few weeks.

That is the ultimate deterrent to any attack on Iran.

israel launches 'Iran Command' for war
israel has reportedly started to set up an 'Iran Command' within its air force as part of preparations for a possible war against Iran.
According to reports by unnamed Israeli military sources, the regime's air force has launched 'Iran Command' to coordinate operations to 'confront the growing threat from Tehran'.
The command's operations are aimed at improving coordination among Israeli ballistic missiles and air and missile brigades which deploy the Arrow and Patriot missile systems.

it is sad, it seems there would be war or it is just for making Iran frighten

Obama will not start a war with Iran. But McCain very well might. That's one of the many reasons this election is so important.

guerilla - If Obama becomes President and starts a war with Iran - I (and almost all of his supporters) would be beyond pissed off. I can't even imagine it. I don't see how that would happen.

I expect him to talk somewhat "tough" in regards to such matters in the coming months - but I am also quite sure it is all politics. The GOP will try to scare America into thinking Obama is "soft" (I actually think what the GOP considers "soft" is a very very very good thing) and Obama will play that game somewhat. I think he will anyway. It's probably a good political move even if it's complete bull.

Will you scream and cry and throw yourself on the ground like a baby?

I still don't think it will equal the pain and destruction the Iranian people will feel. Of course liberals are all bleeding heart talkers when it actually comes to doing something. Like Obama, "just playing the game of politics" when he further funds the war, and the war profiteers at the expense of the American people, and at the cost of Iraqi lives.

You can't imagine it? You've already see Obama display zero spine when it comes to standing up against the war with more than rhetoric. Or when he kowtows to AIPAC. You think he's suddenly gunna stop playing politics and make moral decisions when he is the Emperor?

I just don't see the jump from the things he's said to starting a war with Iran. I've never heard him say anything that would lead me to believe he would do such a thing.

McCain on the other hand? He definitely has said many things that lead me to believe he would do just that.

It is hard to say at the moment, some candidates do change their stance almost immediately once elected. Need to see them in action first, though I would agree that Obama looks to be a better President at this moment. As the saying goes, the proof of the pudding is in the eating, we will need to see his performance in office.
