Completely and absolutely utterly worthless, not a dime, not a cent, not a penny. Typo of Olympic one of the most heavily protected trademark domains on the planet. Please read my blog for further details about the hopelessness of registering trademark domain names. If you registered this in the last couple of days (5 days) delete it immediately to get a refund / credit of your reg fee, for that is as much money as you are going to make back on this. Also read my blog for information about the wisdom (or not as the case may be) of registering typo domains in general. Do yourself a favor and let this domain go immediately, for your own good. DO NOT register any more trademark or typo domains for that matter until you know what you are doing in this business!
I disagree that these name are worthless. If you find the right buyer (which might be hard to do) you can get a pretty penny for these. Although they might be a lot harder to sell after the games.
Sometimes here at DP, I am quite simply astonished at the utter daftness of the advice proffered forward by some posters. Look mate, let me spell it out to you, for clearly you are missing a very important point here. This is cyber squatting. It is illegal. The domain is worth diddly squat all, not a dime, not a cent. The Olympic trademark is very well known in domaining circles for being one of the most heavily protected trademarks around, anywhere. The Olympic Committee has a colossal budget and will not hesitate to sue anyone that infringes on their trademark. Such fee's to them in terms of lawyer costs etc are absolutely peanuts in the big scheme of things and believe you me, they will not hesitate to protect their trademark and name and quite rightly so too. Telling this poster that he might well be able to get something for this domain, with it being a typo to boot, is just extraordinarily silly and really shows your complete lack of any professional competence on this issue. You are not in a position to advise this poster, your ignorance is blindingly plain to see. By encouraging this kind of thing you are condoning an illegal activity, which if said poster was to act on your advice, could result in very extreme detrimental damages being levied against someone. Sure it costs you nothing to hand out such wanton, idiotic advice, a tiny forum remark, what have you got to lose? Nothing at all is the short answer to that. In the future, if you don't know fat all about the facts of a subject, it might be better to simply not post a reply until you become more fully acquainted with international trademark law. Mark
i dont really care about all your advice and all that but you my friend are not making or using the right words to describe "Domaining" and show me a news or somekind of proff that its illegal to do , there are people who make living out of the domain business, clicking in your profile i can see you also do domaining but dunno why you saying that 1st line of your post : i also think so , look what are you saying and yes the domain is worthless coz of trademark but if a trademark domain buyer or a some other user who wanna make that kind of site ( knowing or not knowing about trademark )
And you my friend, well, you're not exactly making much sense either! Could you please translate the above into English?
