I hate these n00bs who just bump threads. But with the new platform that puts bumped threads into RSS feeds, they piss me off even more. Could you please fix it?
I am subscribed to local RSS feeds, for example: https://forums.digitalpoint.com/forums/wordpress.110/forums/wordpress.110/index.rss Just a while ago I reported a new spam post in a thread originally created in 2008...
Unfortunately I don't think there's a way around it due to the way RSS feeds work. You can sort them based on different things, but the things you can sort on are the same sort options for the normal forum. For example if you wanted an RSS feed with the most replied threads in that section (not sure why, but you could)... https://forums.digitalpoint.com/forums/wordpress.110/index.rss?order=reply_count
When DP forums were running on vBulletin, there was not this problem. Putting old stuff in RSS is not normal. Someone just bumped an old thread again and I read half of the page till I realized that it was created 3 years ago. Dammit!
Isn't there really any way to fix this? A few days ago I decided to add more forums to my RSS reader, but since that time it has been flooded with old threads, thanks to all these spamming idiots. It is *really* annoying.
