Hi Guys, I have a new question.

I have this site that I've been working on for three months already. www.nlpcoaching.com.

Our Web Dev Guy is working on a new website that has the same url. but, its not live yet. It's still a test site.

But, when we make it live. wWe will redirect the old site to the new one.

Will this affect my backlinks and other SEO stuff?

Yes!!! It will definitely affect your backlinks, if you are not having the same URL for all your listed pages.

it still has the same url's though. It just have a fresh look, added some new pages, new content. It's still identical to the old one.
The old one was hit by Penguin update. and it's in a very bad shape. Does this also affect the new one?

sounds like the domain is the same; however what about each page name.

If the pages have new names, doing a 301 redirect is the best in your .htaccess file.
