Old site de-indexed after a change

So, I have an old unused site.

It was indexed on google, but I logged in just to toy around and do a little pruning last week. Unfortunately, I am no longer listed on site:xyz search for google. I'm still on bing and yahoo though.

One thing I did and left it for like a day was completely mess up my homepage and it had like 3 php errors that said the standard [error retrieving etc etc]. Could that have been the problem? Also, it's been more than a few days and nothing on the site is re-indexed. Should I do anything? Is this merely a temporary thing?

Errors haven't affected indexing of my site. It might be better to put google analytics on the site and ping google.

    1. Easy way: add your site to http://www.google.com/addurl/ and wait
    2. Good way: fix your site, get more backlinks - if you didn't violated Google rules you'll get indexed again

You can also add you site to Google Webmaster Tools and check there - robots.txt problems, etc.

    Ok!
The error might be the problem.
And you just don't see your site with search link"yoursite.com or you are also not liasted in keyword searches?

Do you still get visitors from google?

I've had this happen before, Google will re-index it but if it's an old site with few previous updates it may take some time for Google to reindex. Google places priority on sites that add new content very regularly.

    Google Dance, anyone?

It's prolly just sandboxed, wait a few months and build backlinks slowly

I actually noticed a recent drop in indexed pages on a site I have, and am not sure as to the reasoning, but I have seen Google come back and re-index later (which is reassuring).
