    Hi there,

Approx 3-4 weeks before I used the Page removal tool in the Google webmaster account and also used the Robots.tx file to exclude the old pages of my website from Google.

But many pages are still there.

Can anyone tell me please that how to completely get rid of those obsolete pages?

    Regards

Just out of interest, why would you want these removed? If they are bringing you traffic from google that is a good thing.

    Hi there,

Actually I redesigned my website and the old URLs look like this

    http://www.abc.com/hardware/%guide/%whatis%%alu?/.html

I corrected the URLs and and removed the old ones by the mentioned techniuqes. But most of the URLs are still there after 3-4 weeks.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Regards

Just be patient, I was waiting for a cache to be removed from one of my other sites and was expecting it to go in a few days however it took 4 weeks.

Whoa, Whoa, Whoa, I hope you are properly 301 redirecting the old URLs to the new URLs via your .htaccess file. If you aren't you will no longer be getting any organic traffic from them, since your removing the web page and not redirecting it to it's new counter part.
