Old forgotten site now making $10 a day with AdSense!

I have an old site that I have not really done anything with for about 2 years, just use it for file storage and images etc. with a jewellery directory on the front end. I suppose it must get about 50 or so visits a day from link exchanges with other jewellery sites. So anyway I decided to put some AdSense ads on it to generate a bit of revenue and it's now making about $10 a day, which I was not expecting. I am now going to put AdSense on all my sites whether I am actively promoting them or not! Anybody else had any luck putting AdSense on sites that they had forgotten about??

 

How do you make 10 bucks a day when only 50 people visit? You would need like everyone to click to make that a day, no?

 

Sounds very fishy to me that a site with 50 or so visitors per day is doing 10 bucks.
Either extremely high paying keyword ads, or some clickity-clickity-clack bad stuff is going on.

 

I think it is an average $10 a day. 4% CTR and $5 per click is possible.

 

my old forgotten blog site makes me 50 cents to $1 a day. heh, good thing is that i have quite a few of them around.

Now i am just wondering should i throw in more contents, or just let it rot there while concentrating on my main projects.

 

Eh I had well established site that I worked on and simply put adsense on my to-do list and forgot all about it. 3 months later I put it on and ever since then it has been averaging $250 a month or so.

To think... my lazyness cost me about $750

 

That is the one of the things I like most in AdSense, you don't need that much traffic to earn some money.

 

why does it sound fishy makin 10 dollars from uv's?

i get 5 visitors a day on one of my sites and make around 3 dollars from 2 clicks.

 

Unless you are in the niche where you get <5 cents per click

Certainly.

I consistently made $15-30 per day from a certain surgical procedure niche from just 40-50 visitors.

CTR was pretty high due to placement and the CPC's were consistently high.

It's not hard to believe at all if you have dabbled in high paying niches.

i've got a site with $1,41 per click in a day 70 clicks very High CTR with 100 visitors a day

 

I make less than that with more than one thousand visitors, lol.

A lack of income isn't a loss. If you could be making a million dollars a day but instead earning nothing, you are not losing a million dollars a day... you're just not earning it. It's just a pet peeve of mine when people calculate a lack of earnings as a loss.

 

I have many forgotten blogs but nothing give me any traffic or revenue ^_^
