This is what Shawn had in mind initially: http://web.archive.org/web/20040227042737/http://forums.digitalpoint.com/ But we ruined it.. On the 25th of March the forum had 117 (I'm #114) registered users and Compar got caught accessing the forums 6 AM and was posting like a mad man judging from the next snapshot whilst VS was worried about getting her picture displayed and Owlcroft wasn't quite the mod rewrite expert he is now... http://web.archive.org/web/20040325142043/http://forums.digitalpoint.com/ It was all quiet and peaceful... How things changed when Anthony signed up
Fantastic thread TOPS, history lesson 101, great stuff, makes me feel sad to see Shawn so alone in those days
We must capture the first week or month of development somehow so we can see who the founders were (of the present forum) DATA presented as established proof cut and pasted from Shawn's DP official birthday thread TOPS!! -------------------------------------------------------------------------- #1 Rate 03-04-2005, 12:46 PM digitalpoint Recent Blog: Ohio Citizens Will Need Auctioneer License To Sell On eBay Master of the Universe Join Date: Mar 2004 Location: San Diego, California Posts: 7,408 Forum Turns 1 Today -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Today is this forum's birthday. That is interesting, but not as interesting as the first month of the new forum, the one you are on now ST. ST why did you get in before the 1 year was up, man we HAVE to accept you now
My former partner told me about this forum about 10 months ago and how cool it was. my response was "whatever, I am a member of way too many forums already". 4 months later I finally made it here and I'd never be the same again
TOPS, can you sort the member list for those who joined the first month, from March, 4th, 2004 Then we can see how many of those are still here
Just sort by join date ascending and look in the last visit cell to see whether they're active or not.
I missed the opening by 3 months. By then the keyword tracker was pulling in hundreds of members including myself.
Aye, that pesky Keyword Tracker got me too! Still this one of the most useful forums that I'm a member of.
Now now ladies. Keep your hair on. You're like 2 grumpy old men that have been coming to the same place for years. Ever watched the movie Grumpy Old Men?
TOPS will pay dearly unless he supplies this report Bottom line is that I came here somehow just for the forum, never knew about any tools and still don't really use them, just a forum nut really. I am too stupid to use the tools also TOPS
..Been using the keyword tracker since at least oct 2003 (thats the oldest keyword I can find) - The tracker was launched in Oct 2003 I think http://web.archive.org/web/20031207120328/www.digitalpoint.com/tools/ It wasn't on the site in Aug 2003 (note the home page is still covered in 'click here' links..) http://web.archive.org/web/20030801142940/www.digitalpoint.com/tools/ Now, I wonder what user number I was ?
