Ok - so I started a site a couple of months ago and my hosting died. I switched hosting and put up some coming back text. I decided to change the name of site and of course changed the domain. I just finished the new site and I realized my old domain is a pr4... (damn it..lol..) what should I do?

I was thinking of using the old domain for something connected with the new domain, so i was thinking of just linking in to the new domain..

    But i don't know...

    info:
    old domain = http://www.hottestpicsonmyspace.com
    new domain = http://www.hotmyspacepics.net

Thanks in advance 4 your help..

You can redirect it to your new site.

The 1st one is a bit longer, but it's got a PR4 plus it's a .com, I would probably go with 1st one

    Hi my friend.
Why you need to give up one of the names? If i were you i would use both.

there are lots of hosting companies give 8-10 site host to 1 customer. If you havent a hosting problem use both of sites. They will be brother sites and you can make smilar changes between them. But they have to look each other.your main site must be PR4 and .com domain. If you direct it, it will lose the pr i think.Yes, short domains are good but there arent big differences between them.

    Lets think again,
You use both domain. You use smilar content on them.(maybe you can change navigation , skin , logo and some links) Then you link them.(not directing, linking is better) Maybe you can write a info about this.so PR4 will give a PR3- PR2 to the brother.

So, you dont need much time or energy. And you will have 2 sites.2 nice and big sites.2 is better then 1.

I hope this helps my webmaster friend.Have a good job.

I wouldn't start the new thing on an old domain if I'm planning to go on with an old thing. I'd rather put this "old" site on the very same domain.
The second best option: put that site on a new domain and redirect the old one to the new one. Then buy a new domain for the new thing (or just use a subdomain since it's related).

1st one if you're wanting to sell links
2nd one if you want to market it well (it's shorter and more memorable)

    Good luck!
