Old domain name link building speed! can it trigger google panalties?

    I have bought this 3 years old domain and I am building links to it, it used to have about 60 links when I got it. but I am building more than 1k links/mo will that be bad?

    If the domain had 60 links and you are planning to now build 1000 per month I think you run a high risk of getting your site deindexed or trapped in the Google sandbox. This is a massive amount of links to suddenly start adding even to an aged domain.

    I would suggest adding say 100-200 profile links a month and say 5-10 links with pagerank 1-4 per month. Think quality instead of quantity and it will do your backlink power much more good than 1000 junk links with PR0
