I'm thinking about buying and old domain (8-12 years old) my question is: I've read that Google can tell if someone took an old domain and changed it to a completely different niche. so you might not get all the SEO "bonuses" from the domain's age how true is that statement? is it worth the money to buy a really old domain? and if it's a domain that no one was using at all, and it was just lying there (Godaddy or something)? thank you
