hi, i heard that if your domain is old than it will help in SEO.but i have query that how it helps in seo? thanks.
This tends to work primarily for Google, but a site that has been around longer will have a higher 'trust rank' with the search engine, which will place it higher up the results page. If a domain has been around for 10 years and has no negative history then they will assume that it is a reputable and authoritative site. JB
SEO things changes regularly, domains that has only registered a few years back won't give much impressions on SE, thats not the only cause... its all depends upon the content, keywords, outbound links and importantly regular update of the site. even a new site has these things can get a quick index by SE and shows the results soon.
SEOjig, older domains should have an older inception date. This is the date Google first crawls them. In addition, an older domain should avoid the Google sandbox.
