As some of you know from helping me with coding and such, I moved the content from my free hosted wordpress.com blog, to a self hosted domain. Well I noticed last week I had a traffic surge of 800+ visits after i moved, and now the old blog is PR 4. (I'm a little pissed) What is the best course of action to take without violating the wordpress.com TOS for using a blog for SERO puposes? I would like the traffic on the new blog. Any help is appreciated.
im guessing you cant do redirects on the old blog since it is a free service. The only course of action i can think to take is adding links on each page of the old site to the new one.
Yes that is what I thought, I guess there really is nothing else, and also to delete some of the duplicate content from past posts, and redirect to the rest of the article. I was hoping for something easier and less time consuming. Thanks
I'm not sure you're going to find an easier solution on this one. I'd go with the removal of content and redirect method myself. Good luck . . . tedious work.
Thanks, I was up late last night doing just that. Talk about a lesson on hosting your own blog from the beginning. This is a text book case for self hosting. Talk about a waste of time a resources.
