i did change a code for 2 hrs but the new code really sucked for me. I was better off with old code it seems. I rolled back to old one :p

    maybe my theory was wrong.

I appreciate making me change the codes on my site! :D

lol jk. I still believe there's no difference between the two. What's weird is updating the code on my site gave me a lower eCPM also. But that was only 30 minutes or so ago. Tomorrow will give me a better idea. Don't really care much about this site, but it makes revenue so it's a good candidate for testing.

I actually did test on my biggest site, but my results were not good. Let me know how it goes for you.

The new code is such a nuisance to work with. You have to go back to the Google site all the time to see what the settings for the ad are. It used to be right there in the Javascript.

Plus, since I started using the new code, my channels are all messed up. Despite the channels showing properly in Google's web console, all the clicks are lumped together outside of any channel in my report, so I can't really tell which site is doing what.

you will need to wait longer then a few hours to really test. You need to have variables to compare with aswell.
For example this is what someone should do:

Run Old code for 5 days straight

Run New code for the next 5

Pick a day from new code and old that each have the closest page impressions/and or clicks

    Compare eCPM and daily earnings

I use old code and prices have remained steady on those sites. I use new code with new sites and prices remain steady from start.

Old code here, great earnings. I don't think code type has anything to do with it, it ultimately serves the same purpose which is to serve ads.

Agree with ljastangs that you must wait, but IMHO is must be more than 5 days. why ? as because adsense bot need time to visit your site and create targeted ads for your kws and only after this update his db.

but idea, that new ads give more income , that old code adcents ... IMHO is fantactic :)

but if you have time to test it, it will be great to hear, that i'm wrong

Hmm, i'll update a few ad codes i have scattered since my earnings have dropped. I got 7 clicks and almost made a dollar by noon today. For the heck of it, i'll update the codes and see what happen's in a week. New Year, new changes.

This is an interesting theory but I doubt the code has anything to do with it. The main thing right now is that it is January and the Christmas shopping season is over. There are less advertisers buying ads, so the price has hit rock bottom.

Maybe a good way to test would be to run the old code for a week, then run the new code and see if things improve.

I can say that I've switched to the new code and my earnings definitely haven't gone up.

After running the old code for 1 year and the new code for 1 day, earnings are the same.

Yeah the theory doesnt make sense. I was prolly wrong at that. I can't take a risk to run the new code and continue to get even lower earnings. Its not some fun for me. I can test the ads for 2 hrs and i know the results. The site is high traffic and get enough impression to check CTR/eCPM.

'm using old code and my eCPM doped from >$1 to $0.20. I'll change to new code and see the difference (if any).

Me too,..still the old code. My situation is a little bit contrary with most of you here with new code, but my earnings is just growing up with the old code. I will stay with that :D

I have only 2 websites with new code, the earnings remain stable about USD 2-3 /day.

    Cheers,

Site I tested it on gets decent amount/clicks every hour, so 5 day wouldn't really matter. Anyways, I'm not going back to the old code, so I'll still report back in 4 more days.
