Okay to add own border to ad blocks?

Hi guys, I was curious if we're allowed to add our own <div> border to AdSense blocks like the screenshot attached here from my website. Although I think it is visually pleasing, is the CTR would be better off without border instead? Any experiences before this? Appreciate any feedbacks!

As per my knowledge, it is okay. I have both type of ads in my website (with and without border). For my site, both of them are same in terms of CTR. I haven't found big difference if i have borders or without it. both are similiar to me.

I don't see why not. As long as it doesn't involve altering the code you're okay. Makes a pleasant change that someone wants to make their ads stand out instead of blend in.

Thanks asapcorp and countryboy! I also noticed that some premium publishers like Digg uses borders as well but theirs are way nicer LOL.
