I obtained free $50 worth of credits so I decided to try it, so far I got 22 likes. I'm very new to this so I honestly did not know what I was doing, and still not sure if I did it right haha.

I got another free $50 credit for Ads again and might use it when this one ends. So any advice on what to fix to get better results? Also people like my fanpage but are not joining my site? Are these real people(Dumb question I know)

    Thanks.

Try CPM and set a lower than suggestion bids and see the result, then adjust the bid and continue

To get facebook fans to visit your site you have to give them a reason to view your site. You can share content from your site on your facebook fan page so if they want to read the full content they have no choice but to go to your site. You could run a facebook contest related to your site. You could post links back to your site in different places on your page as well as in status updates and tab pages. Just don't overdo it or it looks spammy and people will ignore you

I have always found FB very expensive. Was the intitial $50 one of the New FB Ads User incentives? How did you get the further free $50?

Were you able to apply the second voucher to your account? I was under the impression that the vouchers were only for new ad accounts that were open 15 days or less and had never redeemed a coupon.

    :-( Alas...

I would always start out with CPC, if you are getting people to actually click and follow through then you may want to switch to CPM. In this case, your CTR is very low, and so switching to CPM like others have suggested will sap your money like nothing else. Only switch to CPM once you have a good CTR with people signing up for whatever you have to offer.

Consider putting a Opt In form /ap on your fanpage, to get those leads to signup to something, give away a freebie :)
