Okay, I have a question about keyword research before i start...

Okay, so I'm going to start with article marketing with clickbank products, but one of the troubles I'm having is with the keyword research. I know how to do it and everything, but my question is this: Does anyone think that it would be profitable to write articles that are on keywords that do not show up in free keyword tools? For example, this product that I am looking at on clickbank is an anxiety and panic disorder treatment 8-week course. I go over the Wordtracker's tool and I type in anxiety. Of course there are a lot of suggestions there and I found maybe 1 so far that doesn't have that much competition in Google.

However, the term "natural anxiety treatment" is not listed in the Free wordtracker tool, but yet in Google when I search in quotes it gives me approx. 3800 results. That must mean that people are advertising with that search term, right. And people are probably searching with that term, right? Therefore, writing an article optimizing it with "natural anxiety treatment" should yield good results for the affiliate product I'm promoting.

    Can anyone help me out?

I believe that wordtracker is one of the best keyword tools out there and personally I always check it before I launch a strong campaign.

If there are only 3800 results for this particularly keyword on google, I think you should write a few articles, make some squidoo and hubpages on that keyword. So next time somebody search it on google, you will be able to get some nice page rank.

And we all know sometimes that nice page rank = sales

So go for it mate, use this keyword and go write these articles.

Thanks I probably will end up writing some articles with that keyword in it. So in general, do you think that writing articles on keywords that are not listed in Wordtracker is a good idea if there is not too much competition in the search engines? Or, do you think that I should just focus on keywords that get around 30-50 or so searches a day and not worry about how much competition there is in Google? I guess I want to try to get maximum results, but I guess I should just go for it instead of trying to perfect a method yet without even starting...

If there are not so many competions in google for the keywords, just try to dominate it. You can easily do that by just posting 3 articles on EA and at least 3 squidoo. Because you never know when someone is going to search for that keyword again.

At the end of this thread, you are the only one who will actually decide what to do but I will advice you to try both ways and see what really work for you and then keep repeating the best one

Just be careful, if the term isn't coming up in wordtracker then there is a chance it is not being searched for a lot, and then you end up with a top spot, but no one typing in the actual term.

Have you tried seeing if it comes up in the free keyword discovery search?

Sorry i would like to ask, what is the acceptable amount of searches on wordtracker that are worth promoting for? I have this niche that i would like to promote but the search result only generate around 70 searches.

firewolf08, on Thirty Day Challenge site you have the Gtrends tool. It's wordtracker + Gtrends (showing the actual Google searches per day). I found it very handy for research. You also have it here if you want to go to it directly. But on 30DC you have it completely explained.
