does the age matter ??? or you have to be 40 to be a bigger idiot ?? It is funny how i see members here saying oo XXX is young and he dont know stuff or is very immature... I would never participated in this thread but i had to do it because someone just mentioned under 18 as a limit to be smart .. under that you have to be like freaking dumb or something. I must be one dumb ****** who can't work because i m not even 17 (WOAH) .... damn and i can kick ass in almost anything i start on. i think people needs to be a little bit more open minded and stop being so arrogant about the age. Enough said, Creed is right -> its submitter's fault if no one submits than no one will start. To tell them not to make directories like that ... Who are you to say ?? you can't block every host or just ban them from the forum for that reason. Am i still on the good side ??? or just switched to a bad side ? QBC ?? IMHO
In my humble opinion... It is up to YOU whether you submit or not... do your homework before submitting if you are concerned about what others are doing. By the way... Now that you told everyone to stop it, I'm sure they will.
i dont think when ur on the net, Age has anything to do with it, i have read articles of younger people than me becoming seriously rich on the net! (my sig for e.g. , another bring Smub), @dropped domains: IMHO there still nothing wrong in buying and using one, as long as you dont conn people with selling verbiage like "PR5 submit now"! buy a PR5 domain, market it well, let the submit page become PR3 or more, and then saying "PR5 submit now"! ..... i see nothing wrong with it its how u play the cards, not the cards themselves! Regards, M. PS: Please stop using those three words, QBC,....its irritating more than anything,....scammer/ sh*thole anything, but not that!.....
And even if you question the validity of the domain or mention that this is just a directory on a dropped PRx domain in the thread, watch the number of comments that follow along the lines of "submitted one - hope you'll approve" or "bought one featured" and on and on. As long as there are those that desperate for a link because they suffer from pixel envy this practice will continue. I rarely visit the solicitations and announcement forums as it's basicly a buch of link pimps and idiots wanting any cheap link that has a little of green associated with it and they don't care where it came from. It's a minority of submitters who are naive; the rest are the regular crowd submitting the same <deleted> sites over and over again.
I agree here. It's the submitter who are so "desperate" to get any link. (Any link at all) If you see the Directory Announcement section, you will see lots of people (including some directory owners themselves) submitting to such directories. As I stated once before, its time we see what we are doing. We can at least not submit to such sites and not be a part of their so called promotion.
does the age matter ??? or you have to be 40 to be a bigger idiot ?? so you dont think that we have to be more soft with people under 18??? Then you have to convince or the international laws to change because that is how every modern democracy handle people under 18 years old!!!
do u mean only people below 18 end up doing bad things? idiocy doesnt have age attached to it! im no judge so i wont comment on soft/ hard dealing with such people! BTW: can u handle this
Helpful thread. Is there a quick, easy way to determine if the directories being offered in Solicitations and Announcements are dropped domains? Thanks.
what is with you guys??? i dont use age to judge people if is smart or not or if he have capabilities or not, but i judge it in moral prospective i just ask him hes age to see if does in fact have the reason to state that was small and have the mitigating of being a teenager.nothing more nothing less... sorry for my english.
lol nothing is wrong with me or him ... and you can deny the fact now but asking for someone's age than saying are you under 18?? obviously lead to say that you are one of those arrogants who think under 18 people are idiots. My friend welcome to the directory industry. I see Europe Bid Directory should i teach you editorial guidelines ?? and what is a quality site ?? or you already know gameblux is a perfect site for being a link leader ?? $6 is enough price for you ?

AND TAKE A LOOK AT YOU SIGN DIRECTORIES GAMBLUX IS ALSO LISTED THERE
Hey. I used a dropped domain for mine and it is going very strong. I spent a lot of money on a custom design and a LOT of good backlinks to the main categories. It gets quite good traffic and will continue to do so. If it is done the right way there is nothing wrong with a dropped domain.
I agree , I have dropped domain directories with thousands invested into it.I buy them for my audio books store and i have half of the top 50 in google for audiobooks. When you buy a dropped domain you have to be committed to maintaining that website to the expected level.People seem to think dropped domains are garbage , I have spent over $100,000 this year buying them .I seen one go last week for $55,000 .
I must say that I do not have a problem with people buying dropped domains. It is part of the Internet. And as long as a person discloses the info when they sell a Website than I also don't have a problem. The fact is that many people are foolish when they buy links (from directories or other places). They should do their research and determine the quality that they buy. I think the biggest tell tale sign is when you try and buy quality banner placements. We have been buying all of the time for the last year and buying good placements is nearly impossible on DP. Every person has a crappy site that gets 1000 visitors per month and wants $100 for a banner ad. There just is not a lot of quality sites being produced.
Judy, you might want another j to be working for you. Big bucks you announced and someone always looking for clients or business deals. btw You might announce as well as you have your own servers.
Cheap SEO Services what is your directory and why did you find in benificial to use a dropped domain name? casinobonusguy what are your dropped domains and how did you invest these 1,000's of dollars and why was it an advantage? I guess like most things you can't simply say all folks that use dropped domains are scammers but I would say that 98% of dropped domains are used to trick people. I don't have a problem with it either. What I have a problem with is folks using these dropped domains to trick people into submiting/buying links then scamming again when they sell the site. And if you don't have a problem with it then your moral and ethical compass is compromised. And if you are a directory owner the above statement is 5 fold because they scammers are hurting your industry and profits.
Casinbonusguy has been financing and building her own sites by her own. That's your trade secret Judy be smart.
Look to my location. It's there. I just happened to have that domain and decided it was a catchy short name that people will remember. It ranks well in the SERPs and has a lot of inbound backlinks recognized by Google. If Google had a problem with it I would have know by now. I think it depends on how you build the directory and how you market it, whether to not Google will deem it worth penalizing it. I have been cautious with mine and it is paying off. For me anyway. Jay: I agree that it is deceptive. I also agree that it is confusing to many buyers. But when it takes about a half hour to create a directory it is very hard to police. Eventually these things take care of themselves because people stop buying links from directories that have a stock skin, no real traffic, and no value add services to utilize.
The problem isn't about using a dropped domain. The problem is the way the directory is marketed. Deceptive words and descriptions should not be used to target new customers.
