When using the generic web interface scripts that come with optigold, if you enter or modify credit card information on an account, optigold updates the "billing type" to credit card, is this correct and how can I make it not do that?

Ok with some digging i came up with this...

By turning on custome can clear info, show bank info and one or two other settings i now have the drop down for "billing type", but the edit customer info web script doesnt seem to honor the billing type option if there is a value.

So if i set it to none, but there is CC info in the account, it sets the account to credit card auto pay anyway, regardless of what i tell it the billing type to be.

    How do we fix this?

You cannot add fields to the existing Web scripts. If you want to be able to edit/change things, you would need to make your own (the existing ones are design for just the specific task they were made for). There is not a way to override the existing setup. If there is a credit card passed to it, it will set the Billing Type to be credit card.

    Oh, dang well that sucks.

And I suppose due to the locking down (protecting your intellectual property) of OG there is no way for me to make my own scripts right?

Doesnt it seem more logical to have the Billing Type field set what the billing type is, not whether there is a value for credit card or not?

So for a customer who wants to have a credit card on file, but not bill automatically, they cant ever use the online interface to modify their information, because it will change it to credit card billing.

Is there a way to get a patch for the edit customer info web script to make it use the billing type for what it should be for, to actually set what the billing type is?

The only work around that I can think of would be to use the normal web scripts for the stuff it supports, then you could make a backend call that sets the Billing Type field to whatever you want after the fact using an -Edit directive.
