I have recently opened a dating site. http://lateformydate.com It's been a slow start for the site, I opened it on november 24th. Although i have made 21$ in a day with adsense so far, It's just not enough for me. So I've been trying to think up ways to promote my site and increase traffic. I thought to myself for a while, what could i do to create traffic and generate signups for my site. So I've decided to do two things, I am going to build a system to keep track of referals for users. Then i am going to have a contest. I will give away a prize of value equal to $2000 (not disclosing the prize until the contest starts) to the user that has referred the most members when my site gets to 100,000 members. And furthermore I will hold sorts of draws and contests for the members once there is money coming in. And Secondly as we add the referall system in the site is going to get a totally new design. This is a free site and i would like it to be a great experience for my users. Does anyone have any suggestions? Am I on the right track? http://lateformydate.com
