Good luck trying to take anyone away from Facebook or Myspace. Not that it isn't possible, your time would just be better spent elsewhere in my opinion.
I have seen a couple of Facebook look alike websites. Special mention are those made by China as they truly duplicated everything with facebook. I have not seen any software for copying Facebook though, its illegal anyway.
Not necessarily, you can get a pretty good clone script for a couple hundred bucks . Achieving the success that facebook has risen too is the real challenge.
Its not just about money and investors you need a concept which is exceptional to Facebook. I guess there is another website called diaspora in the development stages, hoping to be a rival to FB . Its an open source project. Give them a try
If you dont have any knowledge of programming and codes, then first you would require a programmer and a developer to start with. Instead of finding these guys online, whom you never saw, try to find someone from your own community or friends or within your city. Obviously you also need a good amount of investment to open a site like Facebook and tremendous amount of online marketing skills. At first it would not be easy, but if you are serious for this venture, then never give up
First of all think about not a world-wide site for all people, but probably about a site where some professionals could communicate with each other. It will be easier for you to become a leader in some sphere than compete with facebook.
If you want to make a website like face book so you obviously want a big capital and management for this purpose but its so difficult.
because chasing to that task you have to consume more time and money, and its not sure after consuming this you could achieve that goal.
Really, you've got to get creative. Your idea must be something that fills a need or really attracts new users and draws them in. It's a tall order but there have been several other similar style sites that have been successful. Just gotta be creative & keep your eyes open for when inspiration strikes (which will most likely be when you're offline not even thinking about it). And yeah, if you aren't a programmer, you'll need to start networking now or hire a good one
copy paste the whole source code. You'll get a page exactly like facebook. by the way, wht do u mean by, like facebook? The whole back end system, or the marketing part?
