    What exactly is a "Lead"?

When looking at the ads from CJ it breaks it down into how much you earn by "Sale" & "Lead"

A lead is usually some kind of signup - signing up for a free trial, or a newsletter, etc

yes you "Lead" them to the affiliate, but it doesnt reflect them buying a product.

    Could be a

    - Email submit
    - Zip submit
    - Submission of contact info to be contacted by advertiser

Leads are the best! Basically when someone goes to their page and signs up for a free offer, that is considered a lead. All my money has been made in leads so far.

Its is a free sign up for a service. Real details need to be entered and verification using Credit Card might be needed in some. Lead is usually good if the offer is good and you have quality visitors.
