All in Firefox: - changes from fully centered on home page, to left aligned here http://www.clearwatersdayspamd.com/about.html and other pages - also the border around the page is different http://www.clearwatersdayspamd.com/about.html and http://www.clearwatersdayspamd.com/bridalservices.html Good looking page otherwise. I normally hate flash but I wouldn't mind a bit of movement in the upper right of the header to give it a little pizzaz. (That is like pizza but plural) I'm not a huge fan of the left side menu that follows me down the page, but it isn't objectionable. Front page, bottom link tells me to "register for specials" but when clicked there is no such registration.. I expected an email newsletter signup.
On the homepage, there's something with the images. It looks like it's created on a higher resolution than down sampled to make it less Kb to load. Imo you should create seperate images for this or use a jpeg image instead of gif. On the category pages I would center the content rather than taking it to the left hand side of the screen. It seems the contact page is centered. As vbm also suggest I'm also not really into moving navigation. Maby on the category pages you should put a link at the bottom how to order the service or create an inquiry form so people can easily get in touch with this company. Maby make the background colour even a bit lighter, then the focus will be even more drawn to the content.
The problem is everything within the site had to be left justifyed to get the little java side navagation system centered to the left. When I had the other pages centered the navagation bar would be off in different browsers depending on screen res size, and size of the browser window. It was a trade off.. Ah, I see where the problem is. Thanx. Got that fixed. That sounds like a good idea. I cannot stand flash either, and even told the client (that wants to do something to jazz it up a bit) that I would not do that. Putting it where you are thinking may just be the thing. Understood... It was a technical decision, mainly because 1) I could not get the static nav bar I had to top justify in every browser scenario and 2) because they have some much info/text on their services pages, I figured it would make it easy to navigate back through the site intead of just offering "back to the top" links. Sorry about that.. That was something that was not done yet. Should be there now. They have not given me any "registration info" yet, so that is something that will be added later as well. Thanx for the comments and help!
Yep, you are correct. This is because the client wants the image larger, however I am not the one who created the image. The images were provided by their designer in Canada, whom I am waiting on to provide me with the larger images. I simply bumped it up a bit in photoshop for the client, and so the graphic artist could see how large they wanted it. I did, but then my navbar looks like crap, ie., off kilter.... If I could get dreamweaver to figure out how to top justify I would likely go that route. Even adding a the html with a text editor gave me heartache! That is something I can suggest to the client. Since they are not really selling anything you can order online, it is kind of hard to do. They just want people to call or email them. I agree, and it was. I was asked by the client to use the darker color... :-( Thanx for your help and comments!
I like the color of the site. It's very pretty. The text under the "Contact Us" is a bit blurry and difficult to read.
my only real problem, is how hard alot of the text is to read.. Is thier anyway for you to make the text such a pixel or so bigger?
I have the same comments as many of the others. Pros: Color scheme, mood Cons: Graphic text is blurry, alignment issues is distracting and moving navigation is startling at first but them I get used to it. Overall: Fix the furry text and you will be good to go. Fix the other stuff and it will be perfect.
Get rid of that annoying navigation, divide the services into categories so you can get rid of it. You should get a domain name that is easier to remember as well.
I like the look and feel of the website. The text is little bit blurred although everything looks fine.Go ahead wth good work.
Your titles and desc are the same for each page! Maybe could do with some pic's (head and shoulders only) of person lying down and hands from the person giving the massage and other pic's of facilities etc. It just breaks the site up and makes it look more colourful, I like the colours but a bit too much blue, pic's will add to it.
