I just started with a new advertiser along with my old ones. I did maybe 190.00 with them, and now they reversed all of them. Is that normal for some advertisers or do they like free leads and sales? Any comments, I would like to know if this has happened to anyone before? I won't put the name of the advertiser here, but will be happy to pm you the name. Thanks for the response!
Some advertisers used to pick up publisher according to its EPC, if the EPC becomes lower, they will reconsider it; or the advertiser contract is finished, if you want to continue to publish its ads, all you have to do is to re-add it. Hope my answer is what you want.
They are probably robbing you that's the truth, sorry to say that, they can reverse leads/sales at anytime they want... Poor affiliates, we are hopeless. You are not the first one and wont be the last.
I have no clue as to what you're talking about, but those are not valid reasons for reversal of commissions. Is it a web hosting affiliate program? Is it physical goods? Any info you can give will help us give you a better answer.
I'm guessing you sent in leads to them? I'm also guessing the leads were not valid. Despite what most people say, most merchants are not crooked and will ONLY payout for qualified leads. Weather intentional or not, if the lead is not valid, you will not make money from it. Period.
It is frustrating, but sometimes sales do fall through or a refund is requested. If this is one of the big host services that is probably what happened. I purchased a hosting service once - that turned out to be lousy, at least for my needs. I soon requested a refund, received about 90% of it and probably some affiliate lost the sale...
That wasn't me ding dong. Yes it was a "unqualified lead" all of them were unqualified leads. I have removed the links and expired their program. Free business is great don't you think.
yes i know i know it is ok but to reverse all 45 leads? Seems a little fishy to me? Anywhoo, my sales are good this month so the reversal didn't hurt, I just know what company not to go too for my needs. Any thoughts out there on payday loans are they fishy too? I know too what kind of a person would promote payday loans? Me....! Just a thought
I wasn't referring to you... notice how I quoted the text that I was replying to? You still haven't given any information about what type of product you were promoting or who the advertiser was. Unqualified lead (UQL) is generally the default code that advertisers use for reversals - sometimes, they'll choose Invalid Credit Card or Returns (or something like that), but UQL is the easiest because they can just classify all reversals in one fell swoop. What were you promoting? How were you promoting it? Have you contacted the affiliate manager for the program to ask about it? They will know the exact reason, while we on the forum can just guess & guess...
Sorry I didn't read the quotes! And yes they were leads, no big issue! My small website gets around 3000 unique hits per day, and I have a really good click through ratio on my products from cj, is just a little fishy that only that one reverses all not some but all of the leads right before the 10th locking period. Any whoo I am just still learning this whole marketing thing and they don't have too many boxes filled with the yellow color only 1 box is lit up maybe that is why? I wasn't promoting it it is just a banner on my site. I promote my site and people choose to click on different things. I don't promote individual advertisers, I try to just promote my self. Of couse I have contacted the affiliate manager haven't heard nothing back yet? it is the weekend so I don't expect to hear anything.
