Ok no BS.. how can I drive traffic to my site for $100 or less?

I’ve been doing the usual traffic driving methods to my site, but I want to know how $100 can bring me more traffic. If you have some info please post. I’m sure I’m not the only person willing to drop 100 bucks to a get A LOT of new traffic.

I’ve been doing ok with traffic, and slowly (but steadily) getting better. Now I’m looking to get some bang for my buck.

    Thanks,

    Jason

A web pro once told me that $100 spent on an ad on a big site is better than 10 $10 ads on little sites.

It also depends on how visible your ad is going to be. No point $100 if your link is tiny and almost hidden. Unless your after just a high PR link regardless of traffic.

With $100, you could try Adbrite or pay for banners on related sites to your own. To be honest, there is no best way, there are a number of methods you could pay for to get traffic for your site.

Adwords might even be a good option if you aren't in an extremely competitive market. But they are typically fairly expensive... the upside is that the traffic you do recieve is most likely interested in your product and not just some random computer software clicking your ad.

What is your niche if you don't mind me asking? Perhaps people could be more descriptive in their suggestions. :)

Make a beer/pizza/whatever contest. Get people to do something fun (and get them to digg stuff)... and spend your $100 on the prize.

It realy depends of the type of website you have, Lets say you have an arcade website you can purchase banner space on arcade banner exchange websites.
Hope you know what i mean.

Hi I'm in same position you're in. What I'm going to do is Get $125 link to a big site from text link ads, and use their $100 off coupon.

So that's an idea for $25.

That's good idea - especially if you decide to buy the last spot from my blog

    ---

Eh... seriously, I don't think $100 budget is so big that it could generate dramatic effort. My pick would be contests or paid blog posts from some blogs (or one bigger) that are related to your site.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I gave out some rep to some people.

A little bit of background on my site. I have a trade company based in Guangzhou China. What I do is connect foreign buyers directly with factories. We source ALL kinds of products, which adds a bit of difficulty in me deciding which way I want to go with internet marketing. I would like to try several different things, because from what I read there's SO many methods out there.

I was hopeing that perhaps some one could share the experience and knowledge.

Start a blog. Spend $100 on creating the best looking most professional blog you can.

Start writing posts giving people advice on how to start business dealings with Chinese companies. Write about technical and bureaucratic problems they might hit on the way. Tell (true) success stories about people who contacted you 12 months ago and how they're doing now.

I'd be interested in reading a blog about that and I'm sure many others will.

Yes I like this idea too, and I know it's something I should be doing anyway. The downside to this is that it takes time. I didnt want to get into blogging until I knew I could devote time to it (I don't like interesting blogs that are never updated)

    Thanks for the advice.

Tell me about it. I'm in exactly the same situation where I don't have time to post. I know I'm going to have to sit down some day, offline, and just write 10 posts and save them for later posting. It's the only way to do blogs.

btw, there's also a lot you can do to improve your website appearance. It might be an idea to customise a Wordpress theme and then move all the content off your current site into Wordpress static pages. Just another idea.

Best of luck with it, and feel free to send me a PM here if you do start your blog.

yes cusotmise your header and put a banner or something nice like a photoshoped title or headline. That always does the trick.

that damn "factory setting" template does suck. If you can do it download a custom template some of them now around the place are really good.

if you can do it pay someone 5 buckeroos to install it for you.

As it has been said it depends on what you are promoting. For example I am looking for new members to join a new project that I am involved with that's due to launch later this year. I signed up to a service that offer Guaranteed sign up. This has boosted my business already. They are www.trafficexcess.co.uk they offer many services in addition to guaranteed sign ups. I found this simple as I not an internet guru

I have no idea if this specific program works since I haven't used it, but 98 out of 100 stories I hear about "traffic exchange" or "buying traffic" won't do any good (and the rest 2 stories are told by the owners who say it will be very beneficial).

I'd save my money from traffic buying.

Make sure your site is somewhat monetized, and then buy advertising space from someone here on DP. For $100 a month you can probably have your banner on a site that gets more then 15k unique visitors per day. Make sure that your placing your banner on a site related to yours. You should be able to get 50-100 visitors per day, and well depending on how you monetize your site, you might be able to make back that $100 and at the same time have good visitors.

$100 off coupon? Do you have a link or a code? I've only seen 15% off so far.
