Like I said in my title...I joined a business, made a capture page, but need more traffic. Before I consider SEO and other techy stuff, what do I need to do to my site to have people opt in? Is it too salesy? Some seem to think so. Considering all the capture pages I've seen written by top copyright "experts", my site doesn't seem too salesy. It's short and sweet. Please take a look at my site (http:www.top10homebusinesses1.com) and tell me anything you can. I really appreciate it.
Hello residualincome4life, Just had a quick look of the website, The one thing that hits me and I am kind of scared of is the huge red block of text it looks just like a blur to me. The Video is fantastic but you have more than one video which is ok but the middle video starts upon page load you should maybe move that to the first video. You have various texts on your webpage just stick to georgia, tahoma, arial, etc not too many different fonts. There is also a huge white space at the bottom of your webpage get rid of that. Also the picture at the bottom has nothing to do with domains, I would also get rid of that. What I would do if it was me is have the heading of free 7 day trial make ??? Then the one video to the left and the name and email box to the right nothing move I would keep everything above the fold. Yours, Laura_D
learn the essentials of creating website traffic the ones that are old school and work are write articles post in forums and write a blog send ezine sol ads and place your site into directories those are the basics
to be honest, i think your site looks a little unprofessional. On my browser the text is too wide, maybe not on others. What is your purpose here? just to collect opt ins? or to make slaes? Define the purpose and then you will be able to have a clear strategy of how to get traffic. For example: If your page is just to collect opt ins. Then you could market on Traffic exchanges and safelists because these are places where people love free stuff. Also add it to your sig file aswell if you havent.
