I had started a adult dating site first week I had about 2000 visits, 70 members and couple upgrades. Now its couple weeks later only 1000 more 20 something signups and no upgrades. I have some link exchanges, on of which I am listed #7 on there hits count. Why the plateu? Does this happen to everyone? I think this site has alot of potential but I need to get the word out. Try to submit to as much as possible directorys and collaborate on as much as possible forums that have adult or dating threads.
When your members sign up. Do you offer an OTO (One time offer) It's a special deal that you explain they will only see once and if they pass up will never see again. My OTO on my traffic exchange accounts for 95% of my profit. Also, do you offer an incentive for members to bring in other members? An affiliate program? Do you send out a weekly newsletter about site updates or any other scheduled mailing?
Thanks for the reply. Im starting to see about 100-200 hits a day so I hope it stays stead at this and ofcourse gets bigger! The suggestions were great and Im gonna use them soon!
Try optimizing your site better or use YouTube to generate some unique traffic ... You can also create a viral refer a friend thing ...
Im getting over 100 a day with about 60-75 uniques. Im getting about 3 signups a day. This is a good bit of work since im not spending money but seems to be doing alright. Any more suggestions would be great! Check out my site if you could. Its adult dating so you know. nudedater dot com
Linkreferral works good the only thing I hate is the fact that if someone dont like an adult site then you get a crappy review. Otherwise it dose a preatty good job.
