Hey everybody, I am new at the affiliate marketing scheme. I signed up with clickbank and paydotcom. I have been using the bum marketing method by setting up blogs for wordpress.com, blogger.com, and even US Free Ads. The thing is there are so many tools for doing affiliate marketing that I dont know where to start or how to blend together these tools. First, I will pick a good clickbank product, something that I know will sell. I then write a review type article on blogger.com or wordpress.com which I include keywords to be searched. These are my tools so far Clickbank A site to post blogs...example: Blogger.com Adsense Feed burner Adwords (really have not used it fear of losing money) Its not much but something to start with. I figure, using BUM marketing techniques I can at least generate some sales. Using adsense in some of my blogs I can also possibly make extra money with that. And using feed burner I could generate more traffic? Thats where I am lost. Theres a option in blogger.com that allows you to put up a url that wants you to put a feed url in there? What is a feed rss in the first place? To generate traffic? How? And lets say if your familiar with feedburner, do you just post the address of your blog into feedburner and it generates a new url for you that you then copy and paste into your feed rss option? Ok now thats out of the way lets move onto adsense. I think adsense is really great, its put alot of cash into alot of peoples pockets. But, not mine yet! My question with adsense is what sites can you use it on? I know you can use it on wordpress which sucks cause I get more traffic there, and I have experimented using adsense on blogger.com but have not gotten a single penny from it. So what sites is adsense good to use on? Also what is a landing page? Are articles and blogs considered landing pages? I keep hearing people telling me "get a landing page". I dont even know what it is exactly. Is a landing page the site of the product your trying to sell? Cause technically thats not "my" landing page that is the vendors page and I am just an affiliate trying to promote. By doing articles and blogs, and having a link set up saying "click here" or "find out more here" and that person clicks that hoplink. Is that a bad method by just directing the reader straight to the product page or do I have to set up a whole new landing page myself to make them read more and THEN give them a link to the product which has my hoplink in it of course. Sorry in advance for all the questions but Im just a little confused for something that seems rather easy to figure out....
Download my free Clickbank Business Guide at www.clickbankbusinessguide.com I think, it will help you.
My guy gives away free affiliate guides and tools at his blog in my sig below..check them out and PM me should you need any extra guidance.. he taught me how to do it..and if I can...anyone can..LOL M/cr
You have hit on one of the major problems affiliates have. Too much information and too many tools. You are exactly right...it is hard to know how to blend them together and more importantly which ones actually work. I had the same issues for a long time and finally figured it out. I have a 6 day mini-course that is free on my website if you are interested. the site is in my sig.
bl4ckman I have downloaded your ebook a few days ago and reading upon it. My question is I notice you still look for advice so are your techniques working for you or not? And for anyone else I am not looking to buy an ebook on how to be a successful affiliate all I want is basic advice. So far these forums have helped alot and they provide alot of information. But I always see a majority of people putting up post like "I made $200 dollars today!" and they will never tell how exactly they made it. So really if there was a free source someone was offering that actually worked and made people money. Then you wouldnt see post asking for advice? So Im a little stump here. What is going on?

The challenge for beginning affiliate marketers will always be that there are many methods to hit the same means, I'd suggest you try sticking to a single medium and do a bit of googling to find some good guides.
Kakarotoni I am currently using SEO technique, and it takes takes before getting ranked high in Google and getting quality traffic. I am working on my website, and I already got few sales from it. So, yes, my techniques do give results. I know many people who are using the techniques described in the ebook to earn thousands.
