Oh mess up in the Presidential of Office probably because of nerves
It does not matter though cos Obama becomes President from 12 noon regardless of whether he takes oath but still not a very nice start to his presidency.
How can people or TV replay such a bumpy oath of office
    http://blogs.reuters.com/frontrow/2009/01/20/roberts-obama-jumble-presidential-oath-of-office/

Thing is John Roberts messed up first when he read the jumbled up the word "faithfully"

Roberts said" I will execute the office of president to the United States faithfully… " instead of
"faithfully execute the office of President of the United States"

Thing is Obama realised Roberts made a mistake but Obama still followed and read the oath according to Robert's mistake "execute the office of president of the United States faithfully" (though Obama said "the office of president of the United States" while Roberts said "the office of president to the United States "

Did Obama also mess up by following through and reading Robert's wrong statement also?:D

Well, he probably just did what first came to mind, but I don't think that the mistake will be in the news for too long.

    OBAMA RE-SWORN IN

At 735 pm, Roberts administred the oath of office again to obama in the map room. Robert gibbs said the wh counsel, greg craig, believes the oath was fine Tuesday, but one word was out of sequence so they did this out of a "an abundance of caution." "We decided it was so much fun..." Obama joked while sitting on a couch. Obama stood and walked over to make small talk with pool as roberts donned his black robe. "Are you ready to take the oath?" Roberts asked. "I am, and we're going to do it very slowly," obama replied. Oath took 25 seconds. After a flawless recitation, roberts smiled and said, "congratulations, again." Obama said, "thank you, sir." Smattering of applause. "All right." Obama said. "The bad news for the pool is there's 12 more balls."

This "story" is proof of how insane 24 hour news cycles are. It's also proof of how absolutely bonkers some people are. Some people really think that because there were a couple of words out of place at this ceremonial thing that has some effect on the Presidency. Give me a freakin' break. Lunatics.

    Lunatics?

Obama and Roberts took it seriously enough to redo the Oath. The Oath in not some "ceremonial" thing, it is Constitutionally mandated. It is important not to gloss over that fact. Each president recites the oath, in accordance with Article II, Section I of the U.S. Constitution.

It would never have been a serious threat to his Presidency, but it is better to just do it right and it is appropriate and good that they redid it.

While that's true, it is also true that the Constitution says hes president by noon January 20th, whether or not he even took the oath.

Yes. Lunatics. Obama was President at noon regardless of this ceremony.

If you think Obama and Roberts are lunatics for redoing his Oath that is your right, but you are looking like the crazy one.
