    Shawn,

Can OptiGold "Workstation" be run on a Linux client? We are strongly considering moving to an Open Source office environment.

I kind of doubt it to be honest. You can use Server on Linux, but I'm guessing the market isn't big enough for them to develop a Linux client for employee workstations running Linux.

Probably the closest thing you will get is being able to access it via a web browser on Linux.

I'm running OG Client under Debian GNU/Linux using Crossover Office. Runs slow, but this is better than nothing :)

Any one knows if will be a version of OG developed for Linux ?

I tried to run it under wine a while back with little luck, it ran, but the java plugins didn't work. Does Crossover Office allow this? Currently I run it off a Windows 2000 server, using a remote desktop client on Linux.

What about running soemthing like VMWare on the machine and running Optigold from that?

Probably the best way of getting it all to run on a Linux platform if they aren't going to develop Filemaker for Linux.

Does FileMaker Pro 7 support Linux on the desktop?
FileMaker Pro 7 does not support Linux.

That's what Filemaker claims but I've sucessfully run Filemaker Pro 7 under 2 linux distro.
( Fedora Core 3 and Redhat 9 ) with the latest wine 0.9-2.
