1. What is the CPU cap, if any?
2. Why are DDos protection plans metered?
3. You say unlimited.. I'm really going to use unlimited (say 5TB/month). Honestly, will I get banned? A honest reply will save both of us time and reputation!

 

1) I don't know..You need to open a ticket for this.. But I guess its 2.4 Ghz.. (I'm hosted with them)
2) What do you mean WHY ARE THEY METERED? Because they have Ddos protection
3) You won't be able to pull 5 TB with a small VPS.. You will need the $79 VPS and + Torrents is NOT allowed on the VPS.
Honestly, you will get banned if your gonna use TorrentFlux and exploit the server.

I'm not from Santrex.. Just replying by reading their TOS. You should read it before asking questions too Cheers!

Friz - What I see from your screenshots is that your using port 8887 without https:// which is causing this problem. Port 8887 needs to be used with SSL(https://). Use port 8888 WITHOUT SSL(http://) Secure connection. Your login should work fine. When you login check your IP. If you need any help you can contact me.. Santrex does not provide any support for VPS and Dedicated Servers unless there is a major problem. Your problem is that you do not know how to handle a VPS. But anyways, you can PM me for help.. Friz - I would still suggest you to stick with your Santrex VPS since its unmetered..If you don't want it give it to me haha! =) The details you got just had the IP missing which was very easy to find out using Hyper VM . VPSLand specializes in VPS Hosting only.. Maybe thats why you got your hosting details quick and good support.. Santrex has many services and its not easy to handle all of them at once. No, Santrex testimonials aren't fake since they are providing web hosting since 2000 . I don't have the time atm for this.. But still I would love to do it as a part time job only if I'm getting paid good($200/month minimum). Glad to know your happy with VPSLand .. Cheers!

I can also vouch for santrex and say he is genuine. However, we should all wait for masrawyz's reply before you guys cause more karma. All I know is that its around 4-5 am in the UK where masrawyz is, so have some patience.

just for correction,no vpsland didn't give me details so quick,I have to wait like 6-7 hours until I get my activation email,but all is completed.Whilst with Santrex,they were fast,after I paid,within 5 minutes,I already got my actiavtion email but details not completed.

 

And failing to give you an IP 5 minutes after then correcting it within an hour or two by giving you your IP doesn't make us the worst host, you got your IP, and you received the information on how to login and you failed to allocate your IP inside your panel so we did provide it to you as you asked yet you still went for the dispute, it's all up to you. I don't think you will find any comparable prices as ours, and our support didn't ignore you but helped you with your issues. And still if you and the other person had issues doesn't mean our 3k+ users have issues, your panel was accessible and your IP was inside your HyperVM panel and that's not going to make us the most awful host you can ever find, I advise you to find another host and let them deal with your attitude.

Santrex is the biggest bullshit they offer cheap vps but sell more than their capacity.

i purchased a vps and its sucks from the second day of purchasing , i tried for refund then they told me the they will not refund , i m can cancel my account any time..

This is horrible , i m running just one wp blog on vps and it shows 700 mb of memory is used and cpu always uses 100% site is not loading most of time. when i contacted the support team they ask me for further 10$ to help and problem still not solved.

i already purchased their server. and have horrible experience with them , they are just like online smugglers.

Let's be a bit more realistic here, how on earth would you run a big site or service on a starter 10 USD package and expect it to give you the best results unless you don't know what you're doing?

Try to think about what suits your needs before complaining about your lack of knowledge on how to run a VPS and optimize/tune it's mysql, and apache to get it's best results, how would a CPU/MEM issue be our issue?

It's simple you either getting attacked on your apache all the time, or you are just getting the wrong package/resources.

For the sake of god learn and make sure you know what you're speaking about before posting stupid nonsense posts, we're not smugglers we're providing one of the cheapest services over the internet for people that can't afford paying much.

And for 10 USD 192MB ram and unlimited CPU you should be thankful and upgrade your package to fit your requirements and needs instead of posting worthless comments.

Oh by the way each package have a process limit that will limit your resource usage in case you thought you can do the magical work on a 10 USD starter plan.
