    Has anyone ever stopped and thought about the meaning of offshore ?

    The label "offshore" is a misconception.
    Unless the servers are located on a desert island, they are always located on someone's shore.

    When offering hosting it would be more helpful to mention where the servers are located in which case a potential customer could then decide if indeed the servers are "offshore" from his location.

    If the servers are located there I believe that is not desert island at all ;)
    Offshore as rule is the place where laws allow to host almost everything illegal
