Hey folks. Sorry to bump you off subject, but I looking for a good webhost that will allow me to store and share my mp3s and other things. Being new to all this I signed up with hostgator and suspended my account because my mp3s. I have about 250gigs worth and Im looking for a cheap plan

Hey! think you will not be able to find a host who can provide you with this on a shared plan! A lot of web hosting companies saying that they offering a lot of space like 1-10TB... but this is not true... even it showing in your cPanel that you have that much space.. I would recommend you to go with Dedicated Server or XEN VPS with central storage... But you will not be able to find a host who will host 250GB of your data under $100/month

 

And the reason why not UNDER $100 because server takes space in data center, power, and brings heat!!!

 

Indeed... you need a file host rather than a shared hosting account... Maybe you should try a dedi rather...

Recently two other hosts were effected by a hacker who deploys a virus to the server. I just hope it is not that cause I don't have a back up file of my hosting as you know why. Site is still down btw.

I take it from reading through the replies that this isn't a very reliable host? :S

The Server has been down for long. Yes, we know. We have made all attempts to fix the problem from our End, but nothing seems to be making a difference. We are now awaiting a Response from the DC, which we assume will be as soon as possible.

Because of this, the Team of MARV got together and have made some important decisions.

We have decided to do away with Server One (Its our Other Server) and get better Services, for the current server.

That will mean, in the future if and when this happens, the downtimes will be shorter, and services less interrupted.

We are making all attempts possible to offer you the Best Service though it might be hit us financially.

Almost 19 hours right now. My site just got back on its feet and this downtime. I guess it must be a huge problem, otherwise the server should have been back by now. I just hope it comes back soon. Please keep us updated about the happenings, and try your best to get the server up asap. The google Pagerank update is taking place, so its quite important for all of us. Looking forward to hear from you.
