seen that, now its say database error connection(my wp say that) and cpanel is loading for like 5 mins now...

The problem was created by a Single Site hogging all system Resources. The site had taken a 3$ plan, and has caused much more damage than the incurred expenses required for the Owner of the site.

All day attempts were made to access the Server, which were foiled, due to the extreme load. I got a small chance now, and i took it. Site stands suspended, until it can be cleared out.

I am extremely sorry for this to all the clients. They might feel disappointed, at our services, which is the first obvious feeling to incur. We hope this doesnt happen ever, and continue to offer Good Offshore Services at a cheap rate.

 

Hey, there were ddos attacks on my site, and then the whole server was down. But a good Hoster would help to block the attacks and not delete the site. A really bad hoster...

What want you to do when a other site become ddos attacks? you have no idea from manage a server!

Well, i kind of have to agree with him! That the host should help the site that gets ddosed to get rid of or block the dossers out, instead of just suspending him!

The easy solution is not always the best!

 

i'm moving host, this accident cosed me a minimum of 4 hours work - 4 * 15 = 60$ loss + daily earning of around 20$ from that website... just waiting for my full backup....

 

Good luck. But let me tell you from my own experience that most hosting offered on DP can not match this.

But in most cases you can not just block ip address to stop a ddos attack.
Only that yo can make apache stable enough to handle such issues and if the ddos attack was coming from your site that is what he had to do to stop this attack.

The main reason for this is that the connecting will be happening from a large number of spoofed ips which will keep changing.

Sorry again for coming in your thread but you did what you had to do to stable your server.

Just ordered the 3rd extreme package. Will be transferring my site tonight (super thanks to an awesome friend) and hope everything will restore it for me asap.

 

I did not know that Holland is Offshore ))
P.S. my experience with Holland was not great... we got about 10 email abuses for opt-in and they turned off our uplink... it was few years a go... at sara.nl.
