There are too much to explain.. but simply said.. you need to build backlinks (which is others member state above) to you site and make sure your backlink is indexed.. and never got diluted with same anchor text over and over.. you just need to mix with related and relevant keyword.. the best criteria of backlinks i think you must have high PR, do follow, low obls, and different IP and mix with no follow as well
